Chris Kelly, one of the members of the 90’s rap group, Kris Kross was found dead Wednesday in his Atlanta Home. He was 34.
The rapper was pronounced dead at the Atlanta Medical Center and an autopsy is expected to take place Thursday. Kelly made up one of the two members of the group that was discovered by Jermaine Dupri and best known for their 90’s anthem, “Jump”.
The group released their debut album in 1992 under the So So Def label titled ‘Totally Krossed Out’ and was eventually certified not one, not two, but four times platinum with “Jump” going double platinum. They later returned in 1996 and released another album, ‘Young, Rich & Dangerous’ which was their last project before venturing into their own solo careers.
The death of Kelly comes as a shock to all, especially after returning earlier this year as 1/2 of the rap duo to celebrate So So Def’s 20th Anniversary. He was also part reason for the career launch of Da Brat.
We will miss you, Rest In Peace!
